10 Scariest Movies
10 Scariest Movies

This week on the show, we’ve got comic picks of the week, a little brainstorming around our Forest City Comicon appearance, and in honour of halloween, the ten movies that scared our pants off the most.

This week Sequential Fiction is brought to you by The Forest City Comicon, November 5th and 6th at the London Convention Centre in London Ontario. With amazing guests, tons of vendors, comics, sci-fi, and video games featuring Project Play, the Forest City Comicon is Southwestern Ontario’s best comics and pop culture convention!

This year the show is two exciting days, and Sequential Fiction will be there!  Come see a live recording of Sequential Fiction on Saturday November 5th at 1pm.

Brian and Liam’s Comic Picks of the Week:

Brian: Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye

Cave Carson has done it all: survived countless adventures below the Earth’s surface, met the love of his life, and gotten a cybernetic eye…somehow. After he and his wife, Eileen, sent their only daughter Chloe off to college, Cave was ready to become just another mundane member of the surface world. That is, until Eileen got sick. Newly widowed, Cave tries to piece his life back together when a knock on the door of his secret underground lab pulls him back into a past that he and Eileen thought they had left buried deep within the Earth.

Adding to his troubles, Cave must determine if his recent hallucinations and visions are the work of his mind or his mysterious cybernetic eye. (Spoiler: It’s the eye.)

Written by Gerard Way (DOOM PATROL, Umbrella Academy) and Jon Rivera (Heartbreak), and illustrated by Michael Avon Oeming (Powers), this is an absurdist action-adventure story unlike any other!

Liam: Barry Windsor Smith – Conan Red Nails

From “Beach Bum Comics”:

“Red Nails” continues to be my favorite Conan the Barbarian tale for its breath and scale. It was also the last Conan novella Robert E. Howard wrote. It’s featured in the Conan the Warrior paperback and The Conquering Sword of Conan trade paperback. Barry Windsor-Smith was really coming into his own at this time. It was so marvellous that I have most all of these books in my personal collection. Not to overlook the Dark Horse Savage Sword Conan Volume One on my Kindle.

Cover Story: Our Scariest Movies

For this special Halloween themed episode, Brian and Liam chose their 10 scariest movies. These are not necessarily the grossest halloween movies, not necessarily the best movies in the horror genre, these are the 10 movies they found scariest.
